ATEC Jet Baseball Pitching Machine
The ATEC Jet baseball pitching machine has been specially created for home use and training.
Whether you are playing indoors or out, this machine is perfect for you, being able to throw ground balls, line drives, and fly balls.
It is very easy for you to transport and store because the legs collapse, meaning it doesn’t take up too much room in the garage or trunk of your car.
This pitching machine doesn’t throw out the balls too quickly, which means it is good for kids. A lot of kids can be frightened if the ball is pitched at the too quickly. There is no ability to vary the speed, which is an issue if you want to practise against faster pitches. However, for the price you really can’t complain.
The ATEC Jet machine will pitch a ball very accurately, but only if it is on the level. If the ground isn’t level, the pitch can vary greatly, which can make it hard to hit.
You need to be careful when extended the legs as you can catch your hand in the mechanism. It doesn’t happen often, but can if you are not paying attention, so make sure your kids are careful with it!
This pitching machine also has a very short cord, which is a bit annoying. You are likely to need an extension cord or two if you want to use it outside. Many parks don’t have outlets, which means you may struggle to use this if you go to a park.
The ATEC Jet baseball pitching machine does need it’s own special balls, which is slightly irritating as it only comes with 3 in total. However, you can order additional balls from. You can get yellow ATEC Tuffy yellow dimpled baseball balls, ATEC supersoft yellow seamed balls or ATEC leather pitching machine baseball balls.
All in all, it is a good machine. It is probably best suited to a child or teenager due to its lack of speed and variation. However, a novice adult may well get some good use out of it.
