I don’t want to hurt my composite bat, so does it do any damage to hit against the mushy pitching machine balls?

No , its not going to bother it a bit. The only thing I would say is any composite bat has only so many hits in it before the bat will start going dead. For this reason many players will have a secondary bat to use in the batting cages off a pitching machine. This will allow your good bat to last longer.

it depends on the speed its going. if it goes more than 60mph yes its going to be damaged

It shouldn’t hurt your bat at all.
It’s good to use the bat you are going to use in a game when you are on a machine anyways or else you get get messed up in a game.
